You can use a table tennis coaching video as a reference to manually create a similar multiball feeding sequence in PongFox. With Record • Save • Replay, choose the strokes, speed and ball placement, test your sequence, then name and save it for future practice.

The demonstration shows how to create a rally, check the feed, save it and choose how many times to replay the pattern.

How do you turn a coaching video into a multiball drill?
Use the video to identify a short feeding pattern you want to practise. You build the sequence yourself in PongFox; the video serves as your reference.
- Watch the pattern. Note the order of ball placements and the strokes being practised. Start with a short sequence that you can follow clearly.
- Record your sequence. Press Record Rally and create the sequence using your chosen strokes, speed and placement.
- Test the feed. Play it back and check the order, strokes, speed and where each ball lands. Adjust the settings to suit your practice needs.
- Name and save it. Give the verified rally a recognisable name so you can use it again.
- Replay the pattern. Choose 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive repetitions for your practice.
Treat the result as a similar training pattern. A coaching video may not reveal exact spin or speed settings, so test the feed on your table and adjust it to your level.
What can you customise?
| Setting | What to check during your test |
|---|---|
| Sequence | Are the balls arriving in the order you intended? |
| Strokes | Are the selected strokes suitable for the drill? |
| Speed | Can you play each ball and recover for the next? |
| Placement | Are the feeds landing in the intended areas? |
| Repetitions | Do you want to run the pattern 1, 2, 3 or 5 times? |
How can you practise your weaker side?
Build a sequence that sends more balls towards the side you want to work on. For example, a pattern to try is two backhand placements followed by one forehand placement. Test it first, adjust the feed to your level, and save it with a name such as “Backhand emphasis”.
This is an example to build and test, rather than a preset shown in the demonstration. You can also use a coaching video to identify a forehand–backhand transition you want to practise.
Can you save a rally and use it again?
Yes. After testing your sequence, enter a rally name and save it. You can return to that saved rally whenever you want to practise the pattern again.
How many times can you repeat a rally?
You can run a rally for 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive repetitions. These options refer to repeating the rally pattern, not the number of balls in the sequence.
Does PongFox automatically copy the coaching video?
No. This workflow uses the video as a visual reference. You manually choose the sequence, strokes, speed and placement in PongFox, then test and save your feed.
How does this relate to Live Mode?
Live Mode lets a coach trigger individual balls from a phone. Record • Save • Replay focuses on creating a sequence you can test, save and practise again. Use the Live Mode guide for the tap-to-feed workflow and this walkthrough for building a reusable rally.
