Easy fixes for common PongFox problems.
Unable to connect to the robot
- Check that both Bluetooth and location are switched on before connecting to the robot.
- On Android, check location permissions for the PongFox app and allow all required permissions.
Drill library or sessions are not available
Check that your device is connected to the internet before opening the drill library or sessions.
Balls are hitting the net
- Check that the connector between the robot head and body is connected correctly. View connector image.
- Check that the motors in the head are running:
- Remove all balls from the robot.
- Run Easy-Counter-Forehand and check that all three black wheels rotate. View video.
- Run Easy-Service-Backhand and Easy-Counter-Forehand. Check that the head moves both up–down and left–right. View video.
Balls are not launching from the robot
- Make sure all balls used are 40 mm balls and not larger.
- To check for a component issue:
- Remove all balls from the robot.
- Rotate the spiral inside the body manually until its marked arrow matches the arrow on the sheet metal. View spiral image.
- Run Easy-Counter-Forehand at a 1.0-second feed rate for 15 balls and check that the spiral starts and stops at the marked arrow. View video.
- Run Easy-Counter-Forehand at a 1.0-second feed rate for 5 balls and check that the blue shaker-servo rotates. View video.
